Simulation of turbulent flow in simple and complex diffuser channels
Abstract
This paper presents a comparative study of six turbulence models for calculating the diffuser channels of different configurations, and also study of influence of parameters of computational grid on calculation results. The simulations was carried out on six grids with different spacing for the near wall points and different resolutions. The performance of six different turbulence models is compared with experimental results obtained at «Aviamotor» and other published experimental results. Creation of optimal models for different stages of engineering calculations of exhaust systems is considered.
Repair of aircraft engine and respective conception under the condition of modern production at manufacturing plants and engine operability recovery centers
Abstract
Problems of serial plants leading to repair as the main type of activities are investigated. Organization of production allowing cutting repair spending is presented. New types of repair are listed. A conception of repair and modernization at engine operability recovery centers is formulated.

Experiment-calculated research of the influence of the shot-peening strengthening upon the low-cycle fatigue of the gas turbine parts with the stress concentrator
Abstract
The finite-element technique of the deflected mode of the gas turbine parts in the stress concentration zone with the residual stress after shot-peening strengthening has been developed here. The deflected mode in the interlock of the type “dovetail” after shot-peening strengthening is examined on the example of the low pressure compressor disc. Calculations and low-cycle fatigue tests of the samples and disks performed on the test stand “UIR-3” verified the effectiveness of the surface plastic deformation strengthening in the stress concentration zone.
Application of technology microarc oxidation (mao) aluminum and titanium alloys to improve performance parts in engines
Abstract
This work substantiates the appropriateness of micro-arc oxidation technology usage for hardening of silumin with a silicon content of 6 ... 11% in the manufacture of major body parts of engines, and also the titanium alloy VT1. Results of preliminary research experiments, and study the main factors affecting the quality of the coating were described.
The possibility of ultrasonic testing of compressor blades after exploitation and repair
Abstract
The results of nondestructive testing of blades of axial compressor of gas-turbine engine of gas-pumping unit are represented. The experimental investigations were based on ultrasonic pulse-echo method. The opportunities of the nondestructive acoustical method for the studying of the steel structure during the exploitation of blades are demonstrated.
Research of the fan blades flutter on the stalling airflow mode
Abstract
Results of a dynamic condition experimental research of the modern three-stage blisk fan designs, designed on new calculated technologies are resulted. Features of rotor blades fluctuations are revealed at research of a flutter in stalling area. As a result of the carried out experimental research the conclusion that there are two kinds of a subsonic cascade flutter is made: without-stalling flutter to which there corresponds the wave of deformation running on rotation and a stalling flutter at which the wave of deformation runs against rotation.
Research of the postoperational condition of the restored compressor shovels of GTD gas-transfer of the units which have fulfilled the appointed resource
Abstract
In work results of researches of a condition of compressor shovels gas turbine engines gas-transfer the units which have fulfilled the appointed resource (~ 50 000 hours) after carrying out of repair-regenerative processing with application of ionic-plasma coverings of nitride of the titan are resulted.
On selection of automatic control system for crvogenic fuel gas turbine engine

The article generalizes experience of automatic regulation systems design and development for aircraft and industrial gas turbine engines, operating with liquid hydrogen (NK-88 engine in TU-155 aircraft) or liquid natural gas (NK-89 engine in TU-155 aircraft, NK-361 engine in gas-turbine locomotive GT1-001).
Substantiation of the criteria for evaluation of the efficiency of the fuel supply system of the gas turbine engines
Abstract
The article provides determinative and sub-priority criteria considered for solution of a multicriterion problem of the efficiency evaluation which characterizes implementation of a number of priority functions by the fuel flow automatic control system. These functions define switching of the automatic fuel flow in the fuel lines of the aircraft engines as well as possible fuel drain to the object drain system and its transverse centering. Presentation of the efficiency function as a function of two variables, which characterize the effect of the use of the control system regarding the determinative and one of the sub-priority indicators, permits to use a method of the stepwise evaluation of the efficiency.
On the issue of research of the properties of the heat-resistant nickel single-crystal superalloys
Abstract
The work studies issues to provide the guaranteed construction strength of the single-crystal rotor blades of the aviation gas turbine engines taking into account the anisotropic properties conditioned by their crystallographic orientation. Special attention is paid to research of the thermo-fatigue properties of the samples taken from the single-crystal superalloys. Influence of the thermo-cycling intervals on the durability of the samples with given orientation has been shown taking as an example ЖС36ВИ alloy.
Features of optimization of the versatile gas generator parameters and design for development of a broad power range line of the advanced gas turbine engines of different application
Abstract
The article considers a possibility of application of the versatile gas generator in designing of the gas turbine engine. Limitations of the use in the mathematical model, criteria of optimization, power range have been defined. Parameters of the optimal gas generator developed on the basis of the VK-800 have been defined. A possibility of development of the 6000-hp engine with the use of the gas generator of the VK-2500 serial engine has been considered.
Methodology of optimization of parameter of matching the combustion chamber and turbine joint operation
Abstract
For the purpose to provide the fuel efficiency and the engine reliability the article analyses characteristics of the temperature field, the fuel flow turbulence downstream of the combustion chamber, depth of the nozzle guide vanes cooling in their interconnection on the basis of optimization of the value of the corrected gas flow rate upstream of the turbine as a matching parameter of the joint operation of these thermal and gas dynamic units taking the effective efficiency of the engine thermo-dynamic cycle as a goal function considering the strength limit of the rotor blades.

Thermal physics of hydrogen-oxygen combuster chambers for high-temperature turbines combined-cycle power plant
Abstract
There are presented the results of the numerical modeling hydrogen combustion in oxidizing environment of the premixed steam-oxygen mixture in operating conditions of the promising combustion chambers that can be used as high-temperature steam’s generators for combined cycle power plants. It is defined a geometry of the mixing module, flame stabilizer and primary combustion zone that provides high mixing quality and absence of local zones of overheating construction’s elements of the combustion chamber.
Calculation of indicator diagram dynamic test at internalcombustion engine in KDAM environment
Abstract
The description of the environment KDAM created on the basis of the vector unit models, made substantiation of necessity modeling the indicator diagram, the analysis of the possible construction of the vector model, which describes the indicator diagram, selected two options for constructing such vector models. This study substantiates the method of modeling the indicator diagram based on the method of mathematical modeling of vector closed contours and shows some of the advantages of this model.
Improving the efficiency of diesel engines by means of electroprocessing of fuel
Abstract
In the article the method of diesel locomotive efficiency upgrading by the process of electrical fuel manufacturing ispresented. An expression capable for evaluating the increase of proportion of active centers in the fuel after manufacturing by an electric discharge was obtained. A model of fuel diffusion combustion after manufacturing was developed. Processing and burning diesel fuel experiments are presented. Simulating of the work process of a diesel locomotive 10Д100’ diesel engine by using of electrothermal processing of fuel is conducted. The results received in work connect parameters of fuel manufacturing with diesel engine indicators. This allows providing feedback and more effective usage of fuel manufacturing in locomotive power stations.

Study of mechanisms of low cycle fatigue crack propagation in aero engine disks under operating conditions and disk residual life estimation
Abstract
Using microfractographic observations the mechanisms of low cycle fatigue crack kinetics in aero engine disks under operating conditions have been established. On this basis the techniques for disc residual life estimation have been developed. The techniques have been verified with the data of crack growth microfractographic reconstitution and crack kinetics direct observation on a disk surface.
Complex failure analysis of aero engine compressor blades
Abstract
Techniques for blade flutter diagnostics using stationary transducers and microfractographic observations are presented. Both these methods have been applied for compressor blade failure analysis of preproduction aero engines. As a result the cause and kinetics of the failures have been established.
Way of the determination to long toughness unidirectional polymeric composition material and device for measurement effort, displacement and time before destruction sample
Abstract
The describes the experimental installation for studying long-term strength of unidirectional polymer composites materialov. Used as a model sample mikroplastics is loaded using chart changes in forces and displacements are recorded hydraulic cylinders to its destruction, the info light-sensitive tape recording. Experiments are repeated at different speeds of displacement of rod hydraulic cylinder. The dependence of the tensile strength of the samples from the rate of load application is estimated.

Bases of methodology of maintenance of system safe operation of engines at all stages of life cycle
Abstract
Ensuring reliable and safe flight operation of the aircraft engines is actually attained by the developers, manufacturers and operators at all stages of the engine life cycle. This necessitates the analysis of the engine configuration, which is formed while making up engine sets and assembling using a specific for the moment design of parts or components, which were manufactured, subjected to inspection and tests under the specific manufacturing conditions. The results of such analysis in connection with the results and conditions of operation form the engine airworthiness management system. Such a system implies methodology, which provides for account of all normative requirements beginning with the design stage and their further execution control at stages of development, serial production and operation. One of the main aspects of the system is definition of parts, components and assembly units and further classification thereof depending on the extent of their impact on flight safety.
The experimental thermoacoustic device
Abstract
The transition processes in the thermoacoustic heat pump are presented. The thermoacoustic heat pump was designed and build by “Thermoacoustic Technology Ltd” in cooperation with the ФГУП ГНП РКЦ «ЦСКБ-ПРОГРЕСС». The experimental thermoacoustic device may be used as a refrigerator, heat pump or an acoustic pulsator. It consists of the thermoacoustic engine, thermoacoustic refrigerator and the acoustic resonator. The work of the experimental device based on the direct and the reverse thermoacoustic effects. The direct thermoacoustic effect is the generation of the acoustic waves due the temperature gradient. The reverse thermoacoustic effect is the generation of the temperature gradient due the work of the acoustic waves. The thermoacoustic technology has many various applications at different branches of the science and technique.
Turboprofan jet modeling and equivalent specific fuel consumption optimization subsystem construction on the seminatural modelling stand
Abstract
There was shown offered method’s of linear interpolation propfan’s multidimensional characteristic results using for modeling turboprofan jet in a total range of flight conditions and approach to equivalent specific fuel consumption optimization subsystem construction in automatic control system structure for reduction of environmental tests and maintenance costs. The offered methods considers requirements to mathematical models for the seminatural modeling stand - simplicity, ensuring of sufficient accuracy of result, work and functioning engine’s mathematical model in a mode of real time.
About relaxational resistance of the compressor’s blades from titanium alloys
Abstract
The questions of fatigue strength and surface parameters of the compressor’s blades gas-turbine’s engine (GTE) from titanium alloy VT6 investigation are considered. The complex vacuum-plasma treatment of the surface (CVPT) comparing with serial (base) technology is described. Recommendations for practice use of CVPT technology are given.

Jet engines are the basic type of engines in a civil and military aviation, used as main and forcings energy plant is in shipbuilding, energy, gas industry. A major requirement to the engines is high operating reliability. Possibility of use of passing gases in gasturbine engines created within the limits of conversion
Abstract
The requirements shown to газотурбинным to engines of land application and a problem which arise at use as fuel of passing gases and топлив, coals received by gasification are analysed. It is shown that a vital issue at use of passing gases is possibility of formation of a condensate of hydrocarbonic gases at increase of pressure of air behind the compressor and in channels of giving of fuel. Creation of systems of use of alternative kinds of fuel by association of means and other resources of the enterprises of customers of such systems and the enterprises of manufacturers land GTE can be a comprehensible variant of the decision of such problem.

In the present work the destruction model of columnar ceramic thermal barrier coatings deposited by electron beam technology is proposed. Estimation of a tension of a columnar thermal barrier coatings on nozzle turbine blades and segments of flame pipes of combustion chambers subject to conditions of their work is made.

The methodology of the optimization of the interlock blade-disk of the type “fir tree” is examined within the bounds of this paper. The methodology is based on the method of the complex experiment. Agodjino criterion of the stress-state rigidity and the plasto-elastic deformation energy of the material are used as the optimization criteria.
