SUBJECTIVITY AS THE BEING FROM A FIRST-PERSON PERSPECTIVE

Abstract

The article considers the phenomenon of subjectivity in modern postmetaphysical philosophy. The study works out the concept of subjectivity as the sphere of understanding and affirmation of the sense from a first-person perspective. The subjectivity ontological specificity (ecstaticism, temporality, incompleteness) is elicited, a semantic relationship is revealed between the categories of subject and subjectivity.

THE RECEPTION OF GLAMOUR IN POSTSOVIET SOCIAL IMAGINATION

This article is focused on the influence of Glamour on social imagination of post-Soviet people. The goal of the article is to consider how perception of Glamour change affects the process of new identity of «post-Soviet man» formation. Two important aspects of modern popular culture: first, media existence of Glamour that generates new fashion images, second, how this Glamour ideology affects fashion industry in Russia are viewed in the article. Glamour has its own place in the system of images of modern Russian mass culture. Reframe and perception of Glamour demonstrates painful points of acquisition of identity, new forms of femininity.

Abstract

This article analyses the concept of narrative essence of medicine, introduced by a prominent American ideologist of «the narrative turn» in somatic medicine, Doctor Rita Charon. Based on the analysis of philological works on narratology and using universal philosophical categories, Rita Charon points out several narrative features of medical practices. Highlighting such phenomena as narrative ethics in medicine, the gift of emplotment, necessary for differential diagnostics, the importance of singleness etc., Rita Charon makes considerable contribution into contemporary humanitarian research in medicine.

The article considers the opposition of True and False as the problem of Axial Age. Exploring the origins of the problem, the author refers to the works of Homer. The paper shows how in the course of historical separation and opposition between True and False essential connection between them escapes and is forgotten. Abstract

In this article, the foreign policy consequences of events associated with American invasion in Iraq in 2003 are analyzed. Meanwhile two levels of geopolitics - world and regional - are viewed, in connection with which the influence of mentioned facts on the change of situation in the Middle East region is shown, the change of these results related with changing political geography at regional and international levels, which had a considerable influence on the Middle East region, and changing foreign policy priorities of the leading countries in the Persian Gulf (the Islamic Republic of Iran). In the end, we have reached conclusions about negative consequences of the U.S. occupation of Iraq .
