Abstract
The Strugatsky brothers’ creative work is distinguished in the context of soviet and post-soviet prose about everyday life. Motives general for the literature of that time and the role of fantastic elements in the generation of the plot are viewed. It is investigated how in the science-fiction prose of the Strugatsky brothers’ the type of event, characteristic for the contemporary narrative literature is formed.
