Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of Kuibyshev region believers’ petitions for Orthodox churches opening in 1943-1961. Opening motivations, social cast of initiators, main procedure stages, the way of parochial (curacy’s) executive body organization, refusal wordings are widely examined in the article. Petition summary statistics is given as well and is based on the survived Secular (Fund of the Council Representative on Russian Orthodox Church affairs at the Council of People’s commissars / Council of Ministers of the USSR for Kuibyshev region) and Church ( Kuibyshev Eparchial Department Fund) documentary basis.
