Abstract

The results of experimental investigation of the fuel-air mixture combustion process in the vicinity of the engine cylinder wall are presented. The width of the zone of combustion chemical reactions and the speed of flame distribution are specified, as well as their influence on the concentration of hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas that are not burnt away.
