Effect of shady areas orbit of damping natural oscillations of solar panels
Abstract
The paper discusses the impact of the shadow area of the orbit space laboratory, designed to implement the gravity-sensitive processes, the logarithmic decrement of natural oscillations of solar panels. For the numerical simulations are used orbit ranging from 200 to 600 km. It is assumed that the panel frame is made of magnesium alloy MA2. The results can be used when designing a special laboratory space technology applications.
The use of electric engine to reduce the microaccelerations level of space lab
Abstract
We propose the use of laboratory space propulsion electric propulsion, can significantly increase the interval between two subsequent liquid rocket thrusters. Thus there is the possibility of a longer gravity-sensitive processes.
An experimental technique for efficiency assessment of ring dampers for gas turbine engine blisk
Abstract
An experimental technique is developed to estimate efficiency of ring dampers for gas turbine engine blisk using the scanning laser vibrometry method. Four damper types based on split friction rings with different sizes are studied. It is shown that ring dampers increase damping efficiency up to 20 times.
A technique to estimate efficiency of turbine underplatform friction dampers
Abstract
An experimental technique is developed to estimate efficiency of turbine underplatform friction dampers using the scanning laser vibrometry method. Investigation is made for two turbine blades clamped on the massive block with underplatform damper. The amplitude-frequency responses of the system are found and the damping characteristics to centrifugal load correlation are obtained. A finite element technique based on explicit time integration scheme is developed to simulate interaction of blades and damper.
Method of compressor blades life gaining processed by high speed forging from α+β titanium alloys with heating above a point of polymorphic transormations
Abstract
In this paper the researches of thermomechanical conditions of compressor blades made by high-speed forging process from α+β titanium alloys with heating above a point of polymorphic transformations are discussed.
Laser measurement systems effectivity improvement for aircrafts and engines surface estimation
Abstract
The possibility to obtain the information about a surface condition is very important during the manufacturing and operation of aircraft. Experimental investigations on aircraft surface reflecting characteristics were carried out. The technique of construction and optimization of laser and electronic systems of remote sensing of a surface taking into account area of their application is developed. The developed technique was applied to detection of surface defects of elements of designs of aircrafts in conditions of production and operation for the industrial enterprises.

Abstract
Today more widely used methods of rapid prototyping. The main difference between rapid prototyping technologies to the conventional approach is to reduce the time for production tooling. The paper describes the experience of prototyping technologies to produce parts of the combustion chamber. To optimize the process of casting and gating the supply system is carried out modeling of forming of the workpiece in the CAE system of casting processes ProCast. The experience of making wax models using silicone molds, production of ceramic molds and pouring the metal.
CFD modeling of air penetration into the fuel supply pipeline
Abstract
The article deals with the case of air into the fuel system piping. Different amount of air in the fuel system was simulated. The Euler method is used for modeling three component liquid (kerosene, kerosene and air, air). Calculation was focused on tracking the dynamics of the axial force acting on the rotor auger centrifugal stage. The calculation showed that the increasing of volume of gas lead to increases the amplitude fluctuations of axial force.
Investigation of the causes of the auger-centrifugal pump bearing destruction
Abstract
Modern fuel pumps have significant vibration and pulsation loads. In this circumstances, the special requirements for the reliability of pumping units within them. In this paper one possible cause of pump damage – the failure of the bearing assembly due to cavitation is described. To do this a CFD modeling of flow in the pump unit is execute through commercial code ANSYS CFX.
The development of mathematical models of acoustic characteristics of the elastic porous material «metal-rubber»
Abstract
The article describes the acoustic characteristics of material «metal-rubber» (MR). A mathematical model for determining the flow resistivity was developed. Selected coefficients in a mathematical model to calculate the acoustic characteristics of the MR. The calculated values of resistivity blowing and the sound absorption coefficient of the parameters of the sample.
Dynamic process modeling of aircraft engine control system

This paper discusses one of the methods of mathematical modeling of the system and its control units. Mathematical modeling using a package MATLAB.Simulink, and Shell Programming held in graphical programming software NI LabVIEW.

Fluctuations of pressure in rail gas injection of engines with spark ignition
Abstract
The algorithm of account of fluctuations of pressure of petrol and gas fuel in rail injector and pipelines for an electronic control system engines with spark ignition is developed. On the basis of researches carried out the author, gives the recommendations for account and choice of the constructive sizes gas rail and elements of fuel pipelines for gas engines. The recommendations for entering into algorithm of management of the engine of correction of fuel for everyone injector are given depending on size of a difference of the charges on them because of fluctuation of pressure in rail at phased direct injection.
Cycled pressure of the multilayered multispan packagrcorrugated package
Abstract
Us by the Bubnov - Galerkin method to solve the problem of cyclic compression laminated single-impurity flying corrugated package with respect to rotation of end sections of laminated corrugated. The decision received relations describing any process of loading in the elastic - hysteresis loops of the package. The good agreement between experimental and theoretical results.
Designing of the aviation engine's hydrodynamic bearing
Abstract
The efficiency of modern gas turbine engines is severely limited by bearings functionality. GTE "dry sump" sliding bearings expand the possibilities for turbine engine optimizing. However, there are no adequate design theory and calculation methodic of the bearing at present. This article describes the features of hydrodynamic bearings modeling and design using modern software such as NX and ANSYS. The results of calculations of flow hydraulic fluid in the bearing gap in ANSYS CFX are given.
Aviation engine’s hydrodynamic bearing modeling
Abstract
In this article are described. features of final-element modeling of thin lubricating layers by means of modern software, such as by ANSYS APDL, ANSYS CFX and ICEM CFD. The essence of the main problems arising at narrow gaps models splitting on final elements is opened. Advantages and disadvantages of program modules at work with small gaps are given. Solutions of the difficulties arising at final-element modeling are shown, in particular, problem of final element zero thickness and problem of calculations bad convergence in various ANSYS modules. Conclusions about methods of mesh quality improvement are drawn. The directions of further researches are described.
Choosing the optimal method of the centrifugal loads modeling using 2D FE models of the compressor’s disks slots
Abstract
Choosing the optimal method of the centrifugal loads of the LPC and HPC blades is the one most actual problem in 2D FE modeling. There are some methods of the centrifugal loads simulations. This issue is relevant for the most accurate simulations of the centrifugal loads on the HPT and LPT disks. According to the results the most accurate method is chosen.
Mathematical modeling of processes of compression and expansion in the piston pump with a gas damper
Abstract
The problem of developing multipurpose technical devices is becoming more and more topical nowadays. With regard to the combination of functions of devices, the problem of increasing the overall performance of each device in the incorporated unit should be posed. To meet this requirement a new technical pump compressor device has been developed which combines the functions of a the pump and a compressor in one unit thus increasing the efficiency of their work.
Measuring system for investigation flow rate and fluid pressure features of control devices for the position hydrodrive
Abstract
This paper presents a measuring system allows us to investigate transient dynamic response control devices. Registration parameters: flow, pressure and spool valve displacement, conducted in real time using the software package PowerGraph and board DAC-ADC mod. E-20-10. The results allow to deduce the laws from the exit flow parameters and refine the mathematical description of the hydraulic control unit.

Suppression of parametric vibrations of running gear elements of tracked vehicles
Abstract
The analysis of proximate solutions of the Mathieu equation, taking into account the energy dissipation in the contact zone "tire-rubber grips treadmill track." Substantiated the minimum value of the modulation depth of elasticity, provides an exception parametric resonances at speeds 15 or more m/s. An embodiment of the track, providing a limited variation of the parameter of the modulation depth of elasticity.
NC machine tools contact measuring devices uncertainty when products geometrical parameters control
Abstract
Study of NC machine tools contact measuring devices uncertainty accomplished. Linear geometrical parameter measuring uncertainty diagram considered, errors main sources revealed. The question about NC machine tools measuring devices uncertainty normalizing possibility according to normative documents requirements for coordinate measuring machines ISO10360 and methodology of inspection MI2569-99 considered.
Development of discrete pneumatic pressure regulator and researching of its characteristics
Abstract
In the paper, software for digital control of gas pressure in a vessel is developed to increase process quality and accuracy. Operating principal is based on stepped variation of a throttle area at the vessel output (or/and input) using pulse code modulation. The control device is made as set of parallel on-off valves. Flow areas of the valves can be presented by binary dependencies of the smallest cross-section or by the Fibonacci series. The number of valves depends on control process accuracy. Simulation results show a good correlation with experimentally obtained data proving efficiency of the proposed control strategy to providing high accuracy and proper quality of transients.

The results of the CFD calculations flat turbine arrays. The calculations were performed on several grids and different turbulence models. Also, for one of the computational grids investigated the influences of the grid density in different zones on the results were obtained.
Test of kinematic model by pneumatic manipulator
Abstract
The article is devoted to the development of a three-axis kinematic model of a pneumatic manipulator and the testing of it on a physical model. Optical rangefinders are used as position encoders. The results of physical and mathematical modeling are compared. The reachable area of the manipulator is shown. The control laws of pneumatic actuators have been built on the basis of fuzzy logic.

Compressor blade profile reverse-engineering: building of middle curve and symmetrical profile
Abstract
Is discussed one of the problems for fine-tuning and redesigning blade machines - reverse designing task (reverse-engineering task). Two methods of compressor blades profiling are described. It’s traditional coursed method and theoretical, both based on using symmetrical profile and middle curve. Author suggested reverse-engineering algorithms for both methods. For method which use more accurate theoretical method as base method suggested algorithm is described in details. Successful tests of program using this algorithm are showed. It was performed with compressor profiles and also turbine profiles which is known as more curved.
Improving the high pressure compressor efficiency by optimizing the stator blades angles
Abstract
The optimization of multistage compressor of gas turbine engine is considered. Optimization was performed by changing the guide vanes angles of three stages. As a result the increasing of compressor efficiency by 0.3% was achieved on one of the main modes of operation.
The results of gas dynamic and strength improvement of turbocharger TK-32 axial turbine
Abstract
The results of strength and gas dynamic improvement of turbocharger TK-32 axial turbine are presented. Turbocharger is used as unit boost for diesel locomotive. The aim of this work was to ensure turbine work capacity when rotor speed is increased by 10% without efficiency reduction. The strain-stress state analysis indicated the region of high stresses on rotor blade body. These stresses exceed allowable values when rotor speed was increased.
The variant of peripheral rotor blade section displacement, allowing to reduce the level of stresses by 20%, was found. Gas dynamic calculation showed that variant of rotor blade modernization results in an increase of efficiency by 0.4%.
Switched-reactance control of pressure and flow as a way to increase energy efficiency of hydraulic drives – a state-of the-art review
Abstract
The paper presents a state-of-the-art review of new methods and means to increase energy efficiency of hydraulic drives by usage of a switched-reactance control of pressure and flow. Advantages of the new methods in compare with traditional ones are revealed, examples of their application are given. There are also shown challenges on the way of their wider application.

Development of techniques and calculation program heterogeneous gas measurement circuits
Abstract
The mathematical model and method of calculation of heterogeneous gas-measuring circuits are presented algorithm and program for calculating their frequency characteristics. Presented frequency response of acoustic probes inhomogeneous the feeding waveguide and corrective element in the form of a long coherent line. Shown that for the chosen parameters dynamic error correction element of the probe does not exceed ± 15%.
On the development of probes for measuring pressure pulsations in the gas-dynamic channel gas generator
Abstract
The results of development and experimental studies of acoustic probes with corrective elements in the form of a long line and a serial connection of rubber tube and a metal tube. As a result of the tests obtained the frequency characteristics of acoustic probes in the frequency range of 800 Hz at an air pressure of up to 8.0 kg/cm2. Ana's recommendations for the use of the investigated acoustic probes for measuring pressure fluctuations in the flow path of gas generator.
Determination of accuracy of the form and arrangement of working cylindrical and conic surfaces when processing details with small rigidity

This paper deals with the problem of providing a given accuracy in the manufacture details with small rigidity. A statistical study of different roll out rings of nickel-chromium alloys. A scheme for error control in the shape and location of the cylindrical surfaces in a special control-measuring equipment.
Effect of ultrasound on precision when cutting threads
Abstract
Results of research of influence of the compelled ultrasonic fluctuations on accuracy of a cut carving are given. It is shown that ultrasound application at a rezbonarezaniye allows to increase accuracy of cut carvings.

Modelling system of cooling nozzle-sprayer hydrogen steam generator

Article is devoted modeling system of porous cooling nozzle-spray hydrogen steam generator. Proposed and selected a preferred embodiment of the nozzle-sprayer, which consists in the use of porous fins instead of the cooling channels.
