Linguocultural peculiarities of English language standard letters


Standard personal and business letters accepted in the English language culture are analyzed from the point of view of ritual and etiquette. Letters are classified according to such parameters as the basic values underlying them, the aims and the participants. Letters in Russian culture, their similarities and differences are shown.
