Abstract
The article is devoted to the elaboration of the problem of oral
narrative in ontogenesis which has already been singled out by the
foreign linguists as a separate area of speech development. On the
basis of analysis of works by foreign researchers carried out within
the cognitive approach of modern science and the obtained facts
pointing to the importance of the child’s mastering of mental
component of activity situation «goal – action – outcome», as
well as the conceptual representation of oral history as a specific
form of discourse, the researcher offers a hypothesis about a
psycholinguistic mechanism of development of oral narrative in
ontogenesis.
Key words: storytelling, story concept, goal-based stories, mental
component of activity situation «goal – action – outcome»,
attainment of the goal
