Abstract
The CAD system world already became 3D. But 2D modeling is still actual for many of engineering tasks. This article gives the retrospective for 2D modeling tools in CAD systems and explains some special methods, used in ADEM-VX system. Samples are given in 2D solid mechanism and layer-mechanism for assembly creation in 2D.
