Abstract
The paper describes modeling of oil separation in the impeller of a radial- type centrifugal breather. The derived equation proves that with the chosen diameter and width of the wheel passage, the assigned breather rotor speed and a certain air-oil mixture volumetric flow rate the relative diameter of the impeller blade outer section presents an essential geometric parameter that defines oil separation capacity.
