Abstract

A lifetime of vibration isolators made of wire MR material widely used in transport systems under random loads is analyzed. Dependencies of lifetime on dynamic and static stress, parameters of MR material (relative density, wire diameter) are obtained. The character of changes in vibration isolator parameters during its lifetime is analyzed. An equation for calculating the lifetime required for the design of vibration isolation systems with vibration isolators made of MR material is obtained.
