Sounding Peculiarity of BBC News Programs: Traditions aND Innovations

Abstract

The article covers the peculiarities of modern BBC newsreaders’ speech in the context of globalisation of the English language. The fact is that the advent of modern technologies has led to a number of changes in the speech of BBC newscasters. In phonetic terms, it is the skillful use of voice parameters that suits the television format of the news.
