FUNCTIONING OF TYPES OF FAMOUS PERSON’S NOMINATION IN THE PRINTED MASS MEDIA

Abstract

The article is devoted to the investigation of functioning of different types of nomination of famous people in the publicistic discourse. The nominations of famous people fixed in the modern press served as a material for the article. Issues of contextual variation of formal and informal names are touched upon, the regularities of their use in modern newspaper language are marked. Stylistic peculiarities of functioning of newspaper nominations are noted in the article. Specificity of usage of different nomination types in different communicative situations is identified. The successive using of two member nominations by name and surname in the official communication, the usage of unofficial nominations
by nicknames is noted.
