Abstract
The article is devoted to the use of individual word creation as didactic material that helps to comprehend some problems in wordformation.
It also highlights modern school textbooks of the Russian language from the perspective of the theoretical knowledge and practical tasks related to individual neology. School textbooks of the Russian language (10-11 classes) drawn up in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standards of the General Education are analyzed. In the article conclusions about availability of individual neology as material for word-formation study and its almost unclaimed didactic potential at the classes of Russian are made.
