Abstract
The article analyses role and significance of English masters and students in the intellectual life of the XII century Paris. The author studies “Metalogicon” and “Entheticus” by John of Salisbury and the “Fountain of Philosophy” by Godfrey of Saint Victor and other original sources, and reconstructs character of scientific communications in the XII century Latin culture.
