Abstract
The influence of undissolved air fraction in suction pipeline of a centrifugal oil pump working under condition of a latent cavitation on its vibroacoustical characteristics is experimentally investigated in this paper. The quantative relations of pressure oscillation at the outlet of the pump and also hull vibration of the pump from the undissolved air flow rate at the input are obtained. It is shown that the air flow rate at quantity 3% from the general consumption of working fluid allows to reduce pressure oscillations at the output pipe line in 1,5 times, vibration in 1,7…1,9 times without noticeable change of the static performance of the pump.
