Abstract

This article considers the reaction of critics and authorities to the play «Window to the village» which was staged by Vs. Meyerhold on the literary basis of R.M. Akulshin. This play was staged in the State Theater named for Meyerhold to the anniversary of the October Revolution in 1927. This history shows a hard experience of young writer who gave up writing plays.
