Abstract
The article is carried out in keeping with functionalism as one of methodological directions of modern text linguistic and methodical orientation of collaborative pedagogics. The content of the article is dedicated to the analysis of artificial functions of concessive
statements in the novel «War and Piece» by Leo Tolstoy which are considered in theoretical and methodical aspects. Concessional conjunctions are considered as one of decoding means for textual senses. The article is based on a presumption, that a subordinate
part of speech in a text of a craftsman of word can become an expressive artificial detail as one of modeling means, a materialization of an author’s idea and author’s relation expressivity and creating of reader’s impressions.
