Abstract
The article explores the relationship between Leskov’s and
Nagibin’s works. The main goal is to establish the degree to which
Nagibin has borrowed from Leskov, to investigate the parallels between
Leskov and Nagibin. It is proved that Nagibin’s works are greatly
influenced by Leskov’s artistic achievements. The works of two
authors are analyzed in terms of genre, which helps to reveal both
differences and similarities between the works of the two authors. It
is demonstrated that in one work of Nagibin there are observed
different genre traditions connected with several works of Leskov.
