PROVINCIAL TEACHERS AND THEIR SCIENCE CLASSES IN THE 1850–1860-IES (ON ARCHIVAL AND PUBLISHED MATERIALS ÎF THE SAMARA PROVINCE)

Abstract

On the basis of archival materials and the published sources the article defined, that the formation of scientific researches in Samara began as research activity of teachers of the first comprehensive schools of this city in the middle of the 19-th century. Noticeable achievements in the sphere of national education in the youngest Samara province of Russia (established in 1851) became the first steps on the way of creating the future center of science and higher school here. The good education and active participation in public life were inherent in teachers of schools of this province. Their scientific works promoted studying of the Samara region, developing in it of regional culture, and processing of modernization processes.
