Abstract

At the heart of an article there lies the viewing of the creative dialog between Venedikt Erofeev on the one hand and Joseph Brodsky on the other hand, and in particular the problem of reception of the poem «Gorbunov and Gorchakov» in the tragedy «Walpurgisnacht, or the Steps of the Commander». It is establishd that the position of a prophet to which Brodsky gravitated toward, Erofeev opposed another one – martyr and fool in Christ.
