Abstract
In this article the genesis of the content of mathematical education in the USSR (1940–1960-ies), including formation and development of teaching mathematics in the secondary school, curricula and programs, development of methodological and mathematical thought is viewed. The main trends in the development of school system of mathematical education in the given period of time are identified.
