Abstract
This article considers a psychological problem of ideal image in the systems of different sciences. Author investigates social and cultural, social and psychological reasons of ideal image, its collective nature in accordance with the ideas of world sociology. Ideal image is a level of development of society, personality, his/her intellect and mentality. The author examines the system of internal potentials of ideal image and their polyfunctional connection with the formation of personality. Methodological basis of the article is composed by scientific researches of founders of this scientific direction. The author also examines definitive registration of this problem, relations between a man and social evolution on the whole, place and role of social imitation in personal and public life of man, cultural potential of social imitation and ideal image.
