Abstract
In the article the biographical material in modern school textbooks on history: quantitative and qualitative analysis of the suggested for study historical personalities, the designation of their role in the historical process, ways of their characteristics and delivery is viewed. The correlation between the standard of education, curricula and textbooks is researched.
