Abstract

The paper analyzes the semantic and word-formation structure of temporal vocabulary in the Mordvin (Erzya and Moksha) languages. In the studied languages, among the words with temporal meaning nouns, adjectives, adverbs, participles and postpositions are singled out. The word-formation analysis showed that most of the words are formed by means of composition or suffixation. It should be noted that composition is the most productive way of word-formation in modern Mordvin languages.
