Abstract

In the article such an important component of the semantic space of the Russian literature’s cultural code is considered as the motif of the imaginary. Active development of this motif in art is associated with the peculiarities of human consciousness continuously encountering with the contradiction between seemingness and reality. Different types of realization of the motif of the imaginary in a literary work are described: depiction of an imaginary character, introduction of imaginary events into the structure of the plot, focusing at traits of the imaginary in the chronotope. These varieties of artistic
tactics are studied as exemplified by the prose of P. Romanov, S.
Krzhizhanovsky, A.Chayanov, S.Zayaitskiy, Yu.Slezkin.
