Abstract

The article contains description and results of applying stylistic stratification method to Stephen Hawking’s “A Brief History of Time”. Three strata differing in content and form are singled out in the text: scientific stratum, emotional-autobiographic one and general-philosophic one. The author views lexical, syntactic and punctuation peculiarities of the text.
