EXILED POLES IN THE SAMARA PROVINCE: RELATIONS WITH AUTHORITIES

Abstract

  • The article deals with relationship between the authorities and exiled Poles who had dwelt in the Samara province in the second half of the XIX century. Special focus was given to the relationship between exiles and local officials. Exiled Poles communicated with high standing government through local authorities. Moreover exactly on the lower level interpersonal relationship played a major role and sometimes became higher than the language of law.
