Abstract
The article concerns the problem of forming the new way of Russian policy in Iran after the conclusion of the Tourkmanchay Treaty in 1828. It was a period, when the relations between two states turned from the hostility to the cooperation, under the Russian patronage. According to the article, there were two main principles of Russian policy in Iran after 1828: the strict compliance of the Tourkmanchay treaty conditions and strengthening of political influence in the country.
