Abstract
The article is devoted to the dialogue between the power and community on the field of public hearings in the Samara region. The actualization of this topic is also connected with the continuing discussion about public sociology, its role in science and social practice. Factors that promote and prevent the dialog of power and community are studied. The importance of taking by the public sociologist the role of mediator, whose function is in generalization of hands-on experience of interaction of power and community by means of problematization of effectiveness of the given interaction on available and significant language for both sides is noticed.
