Abstract

In this article features of genre nature of «A Writer’s Diary» by F.M. Dostoevsky, which is understood as a conditional «peripheral» genre are discussed. The special attention is given to the question of sociohistorical and biographical premises of emergence of design of the work, which is regarded as preaching word of Dostoevsky.
