«AND RUSSIA IS LIKE THE WHITE LYRA...»: IMAGE OF THE LEFT HOMELAND IN THE POETRY OF RUSSIAN EMIGRATION OF THE FIRST WAVE

Abstract

At the core of the article is the image of Russia as the winter, cold, northern country like a symbol of the forever left homeland in the poetry of emigrants of the first wave. References to various literary traditions, nostalgic tone and tension are typical for this image.
