Abstract
Texts of the «features» genre represent quite a large and different type of media material that is characterized by certain subject attachment. In the article subject preferences of feature-articles in British and American press are highlighted, that allows to give more complete idea on the specific features of the genre of feature-articles, and review the contents from the socio-cultural point of view.
