The prefix v(ъ)z-: semantics and aspectuality (on the material of Zadonshchina)

Abstract

In this work we analyze the Old-Russian prefix v(ъ)z- in two copies of the Old-Russian text of Zadonshchina. On the basis of its semantic value – spatial, temporal and only-aspectual – actional and aspectual characteristics of the verbs derived by such prefix are analyzed.
