Abstract
In the article an attempt to look at realism as an artistic method from the point of view of how the concept of reality is interpreted in the philosophy and what is the essence of realism as philosophical setting is presented. The proposed hypothesis is that realism can be understood as a way to present ideas as if they were things by artistic means.
