Abstract
In the article the features of genesis of entrepreneurship in the sphere of manufacturing system on the territory of the Voronezh Region in the end of XVII – XVIII centuries are viewed. Appeal to the origins of this social stratum is particularly relevant in the light of changing course of development of the Russian state from the socialist to the capitalist one and rapid development of market relations in the past two decades.
