Abstract
In this article the introduction in modern Russian sociology of activist methodology is analyzed, its significance is substantiated. The possibility of including of Action Research method in Russian sociology and area of application of this method is viewed; basic stages of carrying out research and also the role and place of sociologist in this research is defined.
