Abstract
In the article an attempt is made to justify the categorical status of the notion of «historical experience». Comparing this concept with similar notions like «social practice», «social experience», «history» the author reveals the complexity of underlying phenomenon. Special emphasis is laid upon the heuristic potential of sociological and epistemological approaches which enables to dissect socio-practical functioning of historical experience.
