Abstract
The article describes the approach to the problem of understanding of interpersonal perception through the disclosure of individual characteristics of protective mechanism of perception of the subject. It is suggested to consider psychological defense as one of the leading components of social-perceptional mechanism that affects perception and evaluation of attractiveness of the object of perception.
