Abstract
The article is concerned with the features of educational activities of social services agencies which are examined through the examples of different types of agencies of social services to children and families. The article defines the typical properties which are peculiar to the educational activities provided by social services agencies in comparison to the activities of educational institutions. The article discusses the aims, the content, the results and the social effects which are achieved in the process of delivering the educational activities by social services agencies. The types of educational activities which are distinctive of specific types of agencies of social services to children and families are given here definition.
