Abstract

This article is devoted to objective and subjective features of money. Basic and additional (non-market) features of money in pre-industrial era are viewed. The formation of additional subjective value of money at using them as a reward, instrument of propaganda, social and estate marker, sacred object is studied. Relation between strengthening of state power and growth of subjective value of money is considered.
