Abstract
In the article the new principle of typology of lexical metonymy considering connections of transfer of a lexical item with the type of a concept which organizes knowledge about the corresponding denotative sphere and type of denotation is suggested. Within typology of transfers of lexical items of different parts of speech frame, propositional, and script types of lexical metonymy appearing on the basis of corresponding types of concepts are identified. The point is established that all these types of lexical metonymy are built on the whole–part relationship in the context of structure of this or that concept.
