Currently, nine journals of Samara University are included in the List of Peer-Reviewed Scientific Publications (State Commission List for Academic Degrees and Titles), in which the main findings of PhD and D.Sc. theses should be published.

University journals are indexed in both Russian and international databases:

• “Computer Optics” is indexed in Scopus and WoS CC (part of the Emerging Source Citation Index) databases;
• “Journal of Biomedical Photonics & Engineering” is indexed in Scopus since 2020;
• “Computer Optics”, “Vestnik of Samara University. Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering”, “Ontology of Designing”, and “Journal of Biomedical Photonics & Engineering” are indexed in the Russian Science Citation Index database on the Web of Science platform;
• Journal publications are placed in international databases and resources corresponding to a specific research area, including Inspec, East View, EBSCO, DOAJ (Directory of Open Access Journals), Math-Net.Ru, ZbMATH, CAS (American Chemical Society) databases, etc
