Abstract
In the article the comparative analysis of the existing criteria of relating to small businesses applied in Russia and Germany is presented. Also in the article the directions and mechanisms of state support in these countries are shown. State structures that carry out measures of support programs of entrepreneurship in Germany are identified. Apart from that, the infrastructure of support of subjects of small and medium-sized businesses existing in Russia is viewed. On the basis of the obtained results it is suggested to realize a number of measures for the support of small businesses in Russia.
