Abstract
In the article the nature of economic laws is defined, comprehensive description of efficiency of oil and gas industry of Russia as one of the largest consumers of hydrocarbon raw materials, which is constantly strengthens its positions on the world energy market is given. Ways of implementation of energy potential of the country which are closely connected with the activity of enterprises of oil and gas industry and, first of all, with their economic condition are viewed.
