Abstract

Ensuring reliable and safe flight operation of the aircraft engines is actually attained by the developers, manufacturers and operators at all stages of the engine life cycle. This necessitates the analysis of the engine configuration, which is formed while making up engine sets and assembling using a specific for the moment design of parts or components, which were manufactured, subjected to inspection and tests under the specific manufacturing conditions. The results of such analysis in connection with the results and conditions of operation form the engine airworthiness management system. Such a system implies methodology, which provides for account of all normative requirements beginning with the design stage and their further execution control at stages of development, serial production and operation. One of the main aspects of the system is definition of parts, components and assembly units and further classification thereof depending on the extent of their impact on flight safety.
