Abstract
In the article the characteristics of industry of Russia in the period of the First World War is given. The basic branches of industry, the production volume and place of Russia concerning the production output among the industrially developed countries of the world are shown. The analysis of import and export of Russian industry is carried out. The questions of inability of Russia to wage war are viewed.
