Abstract
Export diversification strategy in Russia should be focused on improving the conditions for the emergence of high-performance and innovative companies. This article describes the central elements of the policy of diversification as the main way to exit businesses to the international markets, in order to increase the trade potential of the country. Russia was integrated into the world economy, mainly due to the export of raw materials, so the search options to diversify the economy of the Russian Federation in order to reduce dependence on natural resources and the study of the experience of other countries exemption from the “resource curse” is the purpose of this article.
