Abstract
Information as a resource is examined in the article in rigid connection with the carriers of information. As major properties of information, determining its specific characteristics as a resource we distinguished the following: belonging to the category of public benefits, high-rate of distribution, sensitiveness to the factor of time, absence of spatial localization, limited nature of action of basic economic laws.
