Abstract

In the article on the example of sociological approach by М.Weber rationality is viewed as a characteristic of a certain type of purposeful activity in which formation of aims and formation of ways of achieving them is subjected to logical elaboration and organization. According to M. Weber, thinking in terms of «goal-means» is characteristic not only for man’s economic activities, but also for many other fields of activity. It is the degree of definition of objectives and means of their implementation that indicates the degree of rationality of action.
